Breakfast: Minute muffin made with maple flavoring, few walnuts & cocoa nibs with a little cream cheese on top. Two cups of regular coffee with stevia & cream. Sometimes I make an omelet instead of the muffin and sometimes I add link sausage as a side to the omelet.
Lunch: Usually a salad with leftover chicken or roast beef lunch meat & cheese on top with my homemade garlic/Parmesan dressing. If I don't make a salad then I eat the seed crackers with fresh mozzarella.
Afternoon snack: A cup of decaff coffee with cream & stevia
Dinner: What ever protein I'm cooking and then two side veggies. Last night I made chicken with a homemade Marsala sauce, broccoli and cauliflower with garlic puree.
After dinner: One cup of decaff coffee with stevia & cream
That's really it. I tend to do the same thing everyday and just really dinner is my main variety. I've basically cut out snacks and if I get hungry I use the decaff coffee to get me through. Looking over this I realize I probably drink too much coffee, but only two cups are regular and the rest are decaff. The cream might add too many calories, but I feel it is better than extra snacks.
Other than that I haven't had much time to incorporate exercise into my plan yet. This new puppy is keeping me WAY too busy. Maybe I can count running her up and down our backyard to wear her out as exercise, lol! I forgot how much time a puppy takes. Our last dog, Marley, was already four months old when we got him and for some reason, just those four months, made things much easier. Mabel is starting to settle into some routines now and most nights even sleeps through the night in her crate - thank goodness. Marley and Mabel are starting to become good friends although Marley has to be pretty patient and put up with a lot of puppy playfulness!
My oldest son, the one that just got the job, is counting down the days until he moves out with his friend into their own apartment. He wants to move out by the end of June. I wish he would wait until the end of summer so that he would have more money saved, and more job security and all that jazz. But...,his friend has been working longer and is ready to move out and is really pushing my son to go. All I can do is cross my fingers and hope it works out for him and let him find his own way.
That's it for this time. My weight has maintained at 163lbs and I hope I can start concentrating on weight loss again because I would really like to lose another 10lbs before our vacation at the end of July. Doesn't seem like much, but at this stage of the game losing 10lbs is hard! Hope everyone else is doing well as we move closer to summer!
It sounds like you're doing good with your eating. How would you switch up what you're eating in order to start losing again?
ReplyDeleteYour puppy is so cute. I like seeing that the two dogs are starting to get along.
Not sure how I can switch up my eating anymore, but I think if I can start walking everyday it might make a difference.
DeleteOkay, I thought maybe you already had some ideas in mind. For me, increasing my vegetable intake always helps me to start losing again if I'm stalled. Maybe you can include veggies in your breakfast routine, or start drinking Amber's bug juice (I think she calls it something else now).
DeleteHi Beth. I am finding it hard to blog and comment too. Must be the springtime and we all are coming out of hibernation! I think automating your meals is good. I am in a rut too and have to step things up a bit if I want to look good in my dress for the wedding. Sending hugs from me to you!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Belated B-Day
ReplyDeleteYou're doing well-it's nice to settle into a healthy routine...sometimes thinking so much about food, etc is wearing on the mind! When you're ready to move it up a notch you will.
So glad you're enjoying the new member of the family. I think it keeps our older dogs younger too.
Take Care
ditto here, but I'm not maintaining. :( Not sure what 's going on with my body right now, but it's not good.
ReplyDeleteI hope all goes well for your son. And your dogs are very cute. Why don't you try changing things up a bit and add a carb in a couple times a week?? Just a thought.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day :-)
I love the pics of your dogs they are so cute. I agree this time of year is hard as the weather gets nicer and we start to break out spring/summer clothes we are faced with how we did diet wise during the winter. I am still working on getting better. Congrats to your son on his new job :)
ReplyDeleteThat is so exciting for your son and actually for you! Each time they leave it is hard to say goodbye, but then you will be an empty nester and you won't have to worry nearly as much.
ReplyDeleteIf you aren't gaining, you are doing better than most of us!
I will give the flax muffins another try next week when I get serious again. Personally I think they are pretty high in calories when you add everything in. Did you do myfitnesspal? That might help. I don't see how you are eating too much at all!
Good luck my friend:)
Hi there - just wanted to say hullo. Have just found your blog after reading some of the other girls. Loving to see such a great BFC community. Good luck with the 10lbs before your vacation - sure you can do it! xx
ReplyDeleteHi Beth,
ReplyDeleteI was just wondering how you're doing?
Thanks for checking on me Minichick. I'm going to try to post tomorrow, I'm afraid I've let my blog fall by the wayside for a couple weeks. I miss everyone!
